The Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is a 5 day hike in the Annapurna mountain range in Nepal. It takes a moderate level of fitness to complete, and the max. Elevation is 3,210 meters. Pokhara is the closest main access city to begin treks into the Annapurna range. Ghorepani Poon Hill trekking gives a wonderful opportunity to witness the beauty of the Annapurna region within a short trek. At 3,210 meters, the Poon Hill sunrise along with the snowy rugged Annapurna Himalaya range in the background is worth every step.

Day 1 : ARRIVAL AT KATHMANDU

Airport pickup and transfer to the hotel for check-in
Meeting at our office for meet and greet with a welcome drink
Rest of the day is free for personal sightseeing
Overnight stay at the hotel

Day 2 : KATHMANDU TO POKHARA (LAKESIDE CITY) BY AC TOURIST BUS (6-7 HOURS DRIVE)

Hotel check out
We have an early departure (7 am) from Kathmandu to Pokhara by AC tourist bus
The bus stops at several places for a 5 minute break and at the highroad restaurant for our lunch
After arrival in Pokhara bus park we can take a taxi or go by foot to the hotel ( 15 min walking distance)
Hotel check in and the rest of the day is free
Overnight stay at the hotel

Day 3 : POKHARA DRIVE TO NAYAPUL (1010M/3314FT.) TREK TO TIKHEDUNGA (1577M/5174FT.)

Early morning hotel breakfast and check out
Short drive to Nayapul
River walk (Modi Khola) to Birethanti
Continue to Hille
Hike to Tikhedunga
Dinner and overnight stay at a local tea house

Day 4 : TIKHEDUNGA (1577M/5174FT.) TO GHOREPANI (2840M/9318FT.)

Breakfast and departure
Steep climb to Ulleri
Soft ascend to Banthanti
Hike to Ghorepani
Dinner and overnight stay at a local tea house

Day 5 : GHOREPANI (2840M/9318FT.) HIKE UP TO POON HILL (3210M/10532FT.) TREK TO TADAPANI (2610M/8563FT.)

Early wake up and upwards hike to Poon Hill
View point break at Poon hill ( photographer’s paradise)
Downwards hike back to Ghorepani for breakfast and guest house check out
Ascend to Deurali
Descend to Banthanti
We hike downwards to the river and back up to Tadapani
Dinner and overnight stay at local tea house

Day 6 : TADAPANI (2610M/8563FT.) TREK TO GHANDRUK (1940M/6365FT.)

Breakfast and departure
Downwards trek through forest area’s
Hike to Ghandruk (Gurung village)
Free time for personal sightseeing
Dinner and overnight stay at a local tea house

Day 7 : GHANDRUK (1940M/6365FT.) TO NAYAPUL (1010M/3314FT.) AND DRIVE BACK TO POKHARA (LAKESIDE CITY)

Breakfast and departure
Descending trek to Nayapul
Nayapul short drive back to Pokhara
Hotel check in
Rest of the day is free for personal sightseeing / souvenir shopping
Overnight stay at the hotel

Day 8 : POKHARA (LAKESIDE CITY) RELAXING DAY

This is a relaxing day to explore, shop for souvenirs and/or enjoy other activities that Pokhara has to offer.
For other activities such as paragliding, helicopter tours bungee jumping or even one of the world’s longest zip line rides please inquire through the booking section (note that for these activities additional costs will be calculated)

Day 9 : POKHARA (LAKESIDE CITY) TO KATHMANDU BY AC TOURIST BUS (6-7 hour drive)

Lunch on the way at the highway restaurant

We meet back at the travel office for your vacation review
Rest of the day free for souvenir shopping/ personal sightseeing
Farewell dinner with a live Nepali culture show

Day 10 : KATHMANDU DEPARTURE
